St. Gerard’s is a lay Catholic, co-educational School founded in 1918 by John James. John James was a man of faith and his philosophy of education emphasised the dignity of each individual and the development of the whole person.
Grounded in these principles, St. Gerard’s has developed into the vibrant School which it is today - educating pupils from Montessori to Leaving Certificate.
There are approximately 600 students in the Senior school and over 250 students in the Junior School. Offering a broad and holistic curriculum, St. Gerard’s affords all students an opportunity to enjoy and participate in a wide range of studies and activities - with a particular focus on sporting and artistic endeavours.
The School is situated on a magnificent site of sixty-eight acres, approximately two miles from Bray and is easily accessible by bus and train. The campus comprises state-of-the-art facilities including a Science wing, Arts, Craft and Design Centre, School Chapel, Dining Hall, Sports Hall and exceptional sporting amenities.
Our School motto “Memor” - to be mindful - encourages each person in the school community to strive for excellence in all endeavours.
